Terms
Terms of Service
Last updated May 15, 2026. These terms govern access to Storm Evidence websites, APIs, accounts, and related services.
1. Acceptance
By creating an account, using the API, or accessing Storm Evidence, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you use the service on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have authority to bind that organization.
2. Accounts and credentials
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of account credentials, session tokens, and API keys. You must promptly rotate keys or notify us if you believe access has been compromised.
3. API usage
You may use the API according to the documentation, tier limits, and rate limits displayed in the service. You may not overload, probe, scrape, reverse engineer, or interfere with the service or use it for unlawful activity.
4. Weather evidence and data limitations
Storm Evidence aggregates, normalizes, and presents weather information from third-party and public data sources. We are not the original provider of those data feeds, and we do not independently audit every source record, model output, radar artifact, report, warning, or forecast.
The service is provided on a best-effort basis. Weather data can be incomplete, delayed, estimated, revised, unavailable, incorrectly geocoded, or affected by source, sensor, model, transmission, and processing limitations. Storm Evidence makes no guarantee that any data, output, event, value, forecast, location match, or response is accurate, complete, timely, or suitable for a particular use.
Storm Evidence provides informational and operational context only. The service does not provide legal, engineering, insurance coverage, or claims-settlement advice, and should not be used as the sole basis for high-stakes decisions.
5. Subscriptions and billing
Basic and Pro plans, trials, renewals, cancellations, and payment methods are managed in the Storm Evidence app. Pro trials require a card on file and automatically convert to the Pro plan unless canceled before the trial ends. Enterprise plans are managed directly with Storm Evidence. Prices and plan limits may change with notice where required.
6. Availability and changes
We work to provide a reliable API, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted access. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue features as the product evolves, including during launch and beta periods.
7. Intellectual property
Storm Evidence owns the service, software, documentation, branding, and derived product presentation. You retain ownership of data you provide to the service, such as addresses or account information.
8. Disclaimer and limitation of liability
The service is provided as is and as available. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Storm Evidence disclaims warranties and limits liability for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages.
